See you in hell? Why do people say that? It seems like a strange thing to say if you believe hell is a place of eternal torment.
This morning I was reading on NPR that Nazi death camp guard John Demjankuk has died. One commenter wrote, "See you in hell, you rat bastard." I understand that she thinks he is going to a place to suffer for all eternity. But I'm now wondering what horrendous crimes this lady has also committed if she too is planning to go to Hell.
How else could she possibly see him there?
Words Have Power
Wicca teaches us that words have power. What we say becomes real. Our word is our honor. If I tell my friend that I will be there tomorrow at 2:00 p.m. he knows I will be there. No ifs, ands or buts. I said I will do it, and I will. He doesn't question it because he knows my word is good.
If your word is not good, you have no power.
How often do you go through your day making comments you don't really mean? "I wish I could wring her neck!", "I hate you!", "Oh my god, kill me now!". Do you find your friends and co-workers don't take you seriously because you make so many comments you don't really mean?
Strengthen Your Word
To build personal power you must strengthen the power of your word. Practice being aware of everything you say throughout the day. Do you really mean it? If not, say so. Take it out of the Law of Cause and Effect. Stop immediately and correct it. No comment is too small to fix. Everything you say matters so choose your words carefully.
Say what you mean and mean what you say.
